Reports 2
Wolves of the Savage family harass a large grizzly bear in October 1973, trying to chase it from a partially eaten bull moose the bear killed a couple of days earlier just out of the picture.  The wolves succeeded in taking over the kill later in the day.  Wolf-bear confrontations are common, usually with the wolves trying to steal a carcass from a bear or vice versa.  The wolves often also seem to relish these confrontations as a form of sport.
